A Podcast a Day….

Doctors around the world proclaim the benefits of a balanced diet: get your carbs, your protein, fats and fibres, for a healthy long life. But your friendly neighbourhood Astronomy Doctors, equally concerned about your physical and emotional well-being, would like to add their own recommendation to that: a serving of astronomy a day will improve your health, outlook on the world and make you a happier person – all in just 10 minutes per day. It also aids weight loss, combats malaria and alleviates troublesome body odours (*).

To raise awareness of the incredible health benefits of astronomy, the United Nations have declared 2009 the International Year of Astronomy. In just one of many initiatives, the Astronomy Health Council of the Milky Way Galaxy (**) has decided to spend 0.0001% of the local Dark Energy budget on producing Astronomy in easily-digested bitesize portions and making this available to all (known) inhabitants of the Galaxy through the gww(***).

The ’365 Days of Astronomy’ initiative aims to release a 5- to 10-minute podcast on astronomy every single day of the next year, with many different people around the world contributing their voices. To learn more about how you can subscribe to the podcasts, or contribute your own podcast, watch the trailer below or visit the website.
